The winter leagues
Winter runs January 10 to March 7, and the Saturday 3 on 3 groups run January 9 to March 6. Weekend sessions are at Kelowna Christian School and St. Joseph's Elementary, and every player gets real coaching and real games every week.
- Micro Ballers is first hoops for our youngest players, ages 3 to 5. It runs nine Sundays at St. Joseph's Elementary from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, and the coaches group kids by age and experience after the first session. $255
Regular price $280Early price - 3 on 3 League is skill development first, then 3v3 games, so everyone touches the ball and nobody sits. Grade 1–2 boys and girls, Grade 3–4 boys and Grade 5–6 boys play Sundays at KCS. Grade 7–9 boys and girls and the all girls Grade 3–4 and 5–6 divisions play Saturdays at St. Joseph's. $255
Regular price $280Early price - 5v5 League is full court basketball with one weeknight practice plus one game each week, in Grade 1–3, 4–6 and 7–9 divisions for boys and girls. Micro Ballers and the Sunday groups run January 10 to March 7, and the Saturday groups run January 9 to March 6. KCS is Kelowna Christian School and St. Joseph's is St. Joseph's Elementary.

Camps and club tryouts this winter
Winter also brings a holiday camp, spring club tryouts and two March Break camps. Dates for all three are coming soon.
- Christmas Camp. A camp over the holiday break keeps players sharp before the winter leagues start. Dates are coming soon.
- Spring club tryouts. Club is our competitive stream, with practices, tournaments and travel. Tryouts for the spring club teams, U11 to U18 boys and girls, are in February, and the exact dates are to be confirmed.
- March Break camps. We run two camps over spring break, with skills, games and prizes. Dates are coming soon.

Frequently asked questions
When does winter basketball registration open in Kelowna?
Coyotes winter registration is open right now for the 2027 season. Winter runs January 10 to March 7, and the Saturday 3 on 3 groups run January 9 to March 6. Fall 2026 is full, and winter divisions close when they fill, so popular grades can sell out before the season starts.
What ages and grades can play in winter?
Micro Ballers is for ages 3 to 5, and the 3 on 3 and 5v5 leagues are for Grades 1 to 9, boys and girls. There is no high school division in the winter season.
My child has never played. Where should they start?
Ages 3 to 5 start in Micro Ballers. For Grades 1 to 9 the 3 on 3 league is the best first season, because every session is skill development first, then 3v3 games. Players with experience usually pick the 5v5 league or the bundle.
What days and times does winter basketball run?
Micro Ballers is Sundays from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at St. Joseph's Elementary. On Sundays at Kelowna Christian School (KCS), the 3 on 3 league runs Grade 1–2 boys and girls from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, Grade 3–4 boys from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM and Grade 5–6 boys from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. On Saturdays at St. Joseph's, Grade 7–9 boys and girls play from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM and the Grade 3–4 and 5–6 girls play from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The 5v5 league has one weeknight practice plus one game each week. Grade 7–9 games are Sundays from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at KCS, and the practice night, time and gym, and the Grade 1–3 and 4–6 game times, will be confirmed before the season starts.
How much does winter basketball cost?
Early registration is $255 for 3 on 3, $355 for 5v5 and $255 for Micro Ballers, and the regular prices are $280, $395 and $280. The 3v3 + 5v5 bundle is $560 for both leagues, compared with $610 at early prices or $675 at regular prices when the two are bought separately. Register as a team, 3 to 5 players for 3 on 3 or 5 to 10 players for 5v5, and every player gets 10% off.
What is included in a winter registration?

Winter registrations also include the PGC Stages at home training program, a $39 USD per month value. The 5v5 league also includes referees for every game and a written player evaluation. There are no extra charges on top of the registration fee.
Are there girls only options?
Yes. The 3 on 3 league runs all girls Grade 3–4 and Grade 5–6 divisions on Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at St. Joseph's Elementary. Micro Ballers, the 5v5 league and the 3 on 3 groups for Grade 1–2 and Grade 7–9 are open to boys and girls.
