The winter leagues
Winter runs January 10 to March 7, and the Saturday 3 on 3 groups run January 9 to March 6. Weekend sessions are at Kelowna Christian School and St. Joseph's Elementary, and every player gets real coaching and real games every week.
- Micro Ballers is first hoops for our youngest players, ages 3 to 5. It runs nine Sundays at St. Joseph's Elementary from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, and the coaches group kids by age and experience after the first session. $255
Regular price $280Early price - 3 on 3 League is skill development first, then 3v3 games, so everyone touches the ball and nobody sits. Grade 1–2 boys and girls play Sundays at St. Joseph's, and Grade 3–4 boys and Grade 5–6 boys play Sundays at KCS. Grade 7–9 boys and girls play Saturdays at St. Joseph's. $255
Regular price $280Early price - 5v5 League is full court basketball with one weeknight practice plus one game each week. Boys play in Grade 3–4, 5–6 and 7–9 divisions, and girls play in Grade 3–6 and 7–9 divisions. Girls games are Sundays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Grade 7–9 boys games are Sundays from 6:10 PM to 7:10 PM, all at KCS. Grade 3–4 and 5–6 boys play their games on a weeknight. Micro Ballers and the Sunday groups run January 10 to March 7, and the Saturday 3 on 3 groups run January 9 to March 6. KCS is Kelowna Christian School and St. Joseph's is St. Joseph's Elementary.

Camps and club tryouts this winter
Winter also brings a holiday camp, spring club tryouts and two March Break camps. Dates for all three are coming soon.
- Christmas Camp. A camp over the holiday break keeps players sharp before the winter leagues start. Dates are coming soon.
- Spring club tryouts. Club is our competitive stream, with practices, tournaments and travel. Tryouts for the spring club teams, U11 to U18 boys and girls, are in February, and the exact dates are to be confirmed.
- March Break camps. We run two camps over spring break, with skills, games and prizes. Dates are coming soon.
Looking for girls basketball?
The 5v5 league has two girls divisions this winter, Grade 3–6 and Grade 7–9, with games on Sundays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at KCS. Grade 7–9 girls also have their own 3 on 3 group on Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at St. Joseph's Elementary, and Micro Ballers and the Grade 1–2 3 on 3 group are open to boys and girls. Frequently asked questions
When does winter basketball registration open in Kelowna?
Coyotes winter registration is open right now for the 2027 season. Winter runs January 10 to March 7, and the Saturday 3 on 3 groups run January 9 to March 6. Fall 2026 is full, and winter divisions close when they fill, so popular grades can sell out before the season starts.
What ages and grades can play in winter?
Micro Ballers is for ages 3 to 5. The 3 on 3 league is for Grades 1 to 9 and the 5v5 league is for Grades 3 to 9, with boys and girls divisions. There is no high school division in the winter season.
My child has never played. Where should they start?
Ages 3 to 5 start in Micro Ballers. For Grades 1 to 9 the 3 on 3 league is the best first season, because every session is skill development first, then 3v3 games. This winter, Grade 3 to 6 girls start in the Grade 3–6 girls 5v5 division. Players with experience usually pick the 5v5 league or the bundle.
What days and times does winter basketball run?
Micro Ballers is Sundays from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at St. Joseph's Elementary. On Sundays the 3 on 3 league runs Grade 1–2 boys and girls from 12:15 PM to 1:45 PM at St. Joseph's, then Grade 3–4 boys from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM and Grade 5–6 boys from 3:15 PM to 4:45 PM at Kelowna Christian School (KCS). Grade 7–9 boys and girls play 3 on 3 on Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at St. Joseph's. The 5v5 league has one weeknight practice plus one game each week. Girls 5v5 games are Sundays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Grade 7–9 boys games are Sundays from 6:10 PM to 7:10 PM, all at KCS, and Grade 3–4 and 5–6 boys play their games on a weeknight. Weeknight sessions run Monday to Thursday, and their days, times and gyms will be confirmed before the season starts.
How much does winter basketball cost?
Early registration is $255 for 3 on 3, $355 for 5v5 and $255 for Micro Ballers, and the regular prices are $280, $395 and $280. The 3v3 + 5v5 bundle is $550 for both leagues, compared with $610 at early prices or $675 at regular prices when the two are bought separately. Register as a team, 3 to 5 players for 3 on 3 or 5 to 10 players for 5v5, and every player gets 10% off.
What is included in a winter registration?

There are no extra charges on top of the registration fee.
Are there girls only options?
Yes. The 5v5 league has Grade 3–6 girls and Grade 7–9 girls divisions, with games on Sundays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at KCS, and the Grade 7–9 girls 3 on 3 group plays Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at St. Joseph's Elementary. Micro Ballers and the Grade 1–2 3 on 3 group are open to boys and girls.
