FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • Junior Coyotes runs youth basketball programs across 4 seasons, for ages 3–17:

    • 3-on-3 League: One session per week including skills & 4 short games. In-game coaching included.

    • 5-on-5 League: One weekly game + one practice. Includes referees and coaches.

    • Microballers (Ages 3–5): Intro to basketball with movement, fun, and basic skills.

    • Club Basketball: Competitive teams with tryouts, 2 practices/week, and tournaments.

    • Basketball Camps: Focus on skill development, small-sided games, and game play.

  • 3 on 3 runs in three seasons:

    • Fall: September to November

    • Winter: January to March

    • Spring: April to June

    • Microballers: Ages 3–5 (boys and girls)

    • 3-on-3 League: Grades 1–9 (co-ed and girls divisions)

    • 5-on-5 League: Grades 6–8 Boys, Grades 9–12 Boys, Grades 9–12 Girls

    • Camps: Grades 1–10 (boys and girls)

    • 3-on-3: Reversible jersey, media day, coaching included

    • Microballers: Coyotes t-shirt, media day, coached by Dean Corrado and staff

    • Club Basketball: Full gear package (jersey, hoodie, warm-up shirt, shorts); travel fees extra

    • Camps: Coyotes t-shirt

    • 5-on-5: Reversible jersey included

    • Solo or team registration available

    • Submit grade level and shirt size

    • Team payments (for 3-on-3) are sent by Interac after registration

    • 3 on 3: Sundays (Grade 1–2 on Saturdays in Fall); 90-minute sessions (skills + games)

    • 5 on 5: One practice + one game each week

    • Club: 2 weekly practices, weekend tournaments

    • Camps: 2–4 consecutive days during breaks

    • 3-on-3: Kelowna Christian or St. Joseph’s Elementary

    • Club Basketball: OKM, OCS, KCS, Quigley, St. Joseph’s, Rutland Senior

    • Camps: Kelowna Christian or Flex Academy

  • Programs are led by Directors Andrew Gini and Jessica Tupper, with support from experienced Junior Coyotes coaches. Dean Corrado is the lead instructor for the Grade 1-2 and Microballers.
