We run basketball in Kelowna schools — PE blocks, lunch-hour clubs, after-school programs, coach support and skills assemblies. You supply the gym and the kids. We bring the coaches, the balls and the plan.

In-class PE blocks
A Junior Coyotes coach runs your basketball unit, from Kindergarten through Grade 12, at whatever level the class is actually at.
Lunch-hour club
A weekly drop-in block in your gym. Low commitment for the school, and it reaches the kids who would never sign up for a league.
After-school program
A multi-week program on your schedule, run by our coaches. Skills, small-sided games and a wrap-up day.
Team and coach support
Already have a school team but nobody to coach it? We can coach it, co-coach it, or run practice plans for the teacher who is.
Skills demo or assembly
A short, loud, high-energy session for a whole grade or the whole school. Good for a season kickoff or a spirit day.
School tournaments and jamborees
We run the schedule, the officials and the scoresheets so your staff can stay with their students.
Why schools ask us in
- Your staff do not have to coach basketball. A teacher who has never played can still have a strong basketball unit in the gym.
- Every kid plays. Our sessions are built around maximum touches, not a line-up waiting for a turn.
- Coaches who are already in Kelowna gyms every week. The same coaches run our leagues and camps, so nothing is being improvised.
- Screened and insured. Our coaches carry criminal record checks and we carry liability insurance — paperwork sent before we set foot in your gym.
- It scales to your budget. One assembly or a ten-week program. Some school programs are funded by us outright.
How it works
- Send the form below. Tell us the grades, roughly how many students, and what you have in mind.
- We call you back. Usually within two school days. We will be straight about what fits your gym time and what does not.
- We send the paperwork. Dates, cost, coach record checks and insurance, all before anything is booked.
- We show up and run it. You keep teaching, or step back and watch — whichever you prefer.

Common questions
What does it cost?
It depends on how many sessions, how many coaches and how many students. We quote after we have talked, so you get a real number rather than a list price that does not fit your school. Some school programs we fund ourselves.
Do your coaches have criminal record checks?
Yes. Every coach who works in a school carries a current criminal record check, and we send copies along with our liability insurance before the first visit.
Which schools do you work with?
We work with public and independent schools across Kelowna and the Central Okanagan, and run programming out of gyms including Kelowna Christian School and St. Joseph's. We are happy to be the first at yours.
Do you need our gym, or can you host?
Either. Most school programs run in your own gym during your own timetable. If you would rather bring students to us, we can host at one of our gyms instead.
What about equipment?
We bring balls and everything else a session needs. All we need from you is the gym and the hoops.
Can you work with students who have never played?
That is most of who we see in schools, and it is the group we build these sessions for. Nobody is cut and nobody sits out.
