 EXPECTATIONS

Communication

1. When have event, scrimmage, team session or anything that is relevant to you with being on our team you are required to be there. If a group text goes out informing you of it you need to respond if for whatever reason you are not able to make it unless it is extrememly obvious you cant make it because you live in another country, province or city farther then 3 hours away.

2. If don’t understand something or have a concern you need to communciate it. Ask questions before or after a practice or can call or text a question.

3. Communication on the court is a non negotiable. Every player must talk in drills, call names, talk on defence and be loud at all times…..

OFFSEASON

1.      Be at all scrimmages and if for whatever reason cannot attend that needs to be communicated ahead of time 100% of the time no exceptions

2.      Complete 4 days per week of Aspire training May, June, July, August and record testing weekly (not optional)

3.      Put time in the basketball gym to improve weekly

IN SEASON

1.      Be at both training camps in August

2.      Raise $1,500 or more in sponsorships from businesses, season tickets, banner ads in the gym, sponsor and athlete and donations

a.      All info attached in other section (communicate with me or Dino for assistance or leads)

b.      Go out in the community to talk to businesses and offer season passes at youth camps and other events to families

c.      Money goes towards new gear, extra activities and trips, food after practices, allow us to travel down the day before some league games, new equipment, more hotel rooms for road trips and any additional items that will help our team throughout the offseason and season

3.      Travel with the team on all road trips and do everything with the team the entire road trip, do not ask if can go for dinner with family or friends instead we need to be a team on and off the court

GENERAL

1.      Be 15 Minutes Early to Practice or Training

2.      Read/Watch all info sent to you in our group chat, through this site, on synergy or on email (do not ignore it)…I expect all info is seen and will move forward accordingly

3.      Be aware of schedule on this site and check weekly for any updates (your job to be aware what is coming up)

4.      Leave the gym better then when you walked in (clean up water bottles, garbage, belongings and put away basketballs and equipment)

5.      Put effort to get to know your teammates on and off the court (that means going out of your way to spend time and get to know them)

6.      Bring consistent energy, effort and body language every day in the gym

OBVIOUS

1.      NO drugs, smoking or vaping EVER

2.      NO drinking or going out the day before games or practices EVER

3.      Attend classes and complete homework and assignments on time while managing your time

4.      Attend all practices, no excuse to be missing to go on a family trip, visit a friend/family or because have too much homework or a test/exam…prepare ahead of time and realize you will need to manage your time wisely…DOING ANY OF THESE YOU WILL BE SUSPENDED FROM THE NEXT GAME AT A MINIMUM
